Business is coming to the rescue of commercially valuable university research as the venture capital industry shows little sign of emerging from the economic doldrums.
University commercialisation arms have reported a move away from the venture capital model in Australia and increased interest from corporate investors, particularly those in the United States and to a lesser extent Asia and the Middle East.
